FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — Kevin Coe, one of Washington state’s most infamous convicted rapists, was released from civil confinement Thursday after nearly two decades in state custody on McNeil Island, where he had been committed as a sexually violent predator. He served 25 years in prison prior to being sent to McNeil Island.
