A New York hiker died after falling in the Enchantments, officials said.
LEAVENWORTH, Wash. — A New York man died earlier this month after falling while hiking Dragontail Peak in the Enchantments.
The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office announced the death Monday.
Andrew Wong, 37, of Long Island, New York was reported overdue after Sept. 9 he failed to return home from his trip Sept. 7. Wong was hiking in the Enchantments near Leavenworth and believed to be hiking Dragontail Peak.
Wong’s car was found at the trailhead.
