The Lions used Ben Johnson’s old trick play to taunt Bears in blowout win

When the Detroit Lions beat the Chicago Bears last season, Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson embarrassed the Bears with a trick play he called “Stumble Bum” that saw QB Jared Goff fake falling down before throwing a touchdown pass. The Bears wanted some of that magic for themselves, so they hired Johnson as head coach over the offseason.

As the Lions were running away from the victory, they poured salt on the wound by recreating the “Stumble Bum” after the defense forced a takeaway. Detroit didn’t need any trick plays to kick Chicago’s ass this year, but they still had fun celebrating at their former coordinator’s expense. Watch the Lions
