Hawaii high school reunion group brings tourism boost to Port Townsend

A high school reunion from Hawaii boosts Port Townsend’s economy by bringing much-needed tourism to the area.

PORT TOWNSEND, Wash. — A group of 32 high school friends from Hawaii chose Port Townsend for a reunion this year, bringing much-needed tourism revenue to the community.

The Kailua High School Class of 1968 typically holds its gatherings in sunny destinations, but this year, members decided to venture to the Pacific Northwest to celebrate their collective 75th birthdays.
