EDMONDS, Wash. — After five uncertain years marked by confusion and controversy, the Edmonds Police Department has a new leader at the helm.
Police Chief Loi Dawkins, who can often be found walking on a treadmill in her office while conducting business, says the days of instability are behind the city.
“A couple times I’ve done this on Zoom. So they’re like, ‘What are you doing?’ Multitasking,” Dawkins said from her office treadmill during her first televised interview.
