NCAA bans 3 college basketball players for betting against their own performance

The NCAA announced on Wednesday findings related to an “enforcement investigation” into allegations of “sports betting-related game manipulation and other violations.” In the findings, the NCAA identified three former players — Mykell Robinson, Steven Vasquez, and Jalen Weaver — who played men’s basketball at Fresno State and San Jose State and participated in what the NCAA described as a “sports-betting related game manipulation” scheme.
