A federal judge in Seattle heard arguments Tuesday over the administration’s move to bar undocumented children from the early education program.
SEATTLE — Undocumented children may soon be ineligible to enroll in Head Start programs under a Trump administration directive that is facing a high-stakes court challenge.
On Tuesday, a federal judge in Seattle heard arguments just hours before the policy was set to take effect.
“This dates back to Project 2025, and now I think the administration feels unshackled,” said Joel Ryan, executive director of the Washington State Association of Head Start, referencing the conservative policy blueprint guiding many of the administration’s recent actions.
