Previously-waived WNBA rookie just got another opportunity

Serena Sundell was one of 16 basketball players who were invited to WNBA Draft Night in New York, but she fell lower than expected and was ultimately 26th overall by the Seattle Storm. Sundell, who is Kansas State’s all-time assists leader and was widely seen as one of the top playmakers in the class, was waived before the season’s start and has yet to appear in a regular-season WNBA game.
