ARLINGTON, Wash. — Parents expressed relief Monday after learning a student who brought a loaded gun to Arlington High School last year will not be returning to campus.

The decision was made shortly before a packed Arlington Public Schools board meeting where parents voiced safety concerns about their children.

“I’m deeply concerned by the recent situation involving a student who brought a loaded handgun onto campus last year,” a parent told board members during public comment Monday night.
