Living life in a bubble: Beloved children’s performer celebrates 30 years

“Bubble Man” has made a career of spreading joy across western Washington.

STANWOOD, Wash. — Garry Golightly, better known as “Bubble Man,” has been entertaining children and adults across western Washington for 30 years with his simple but powerful message of joy, compassion and creativity. 

The 72-year-old performer has made bubbles his life’s work, traveling to birthday parties, weddings, schools, nursing homes, day care centers and even funerals with nothing more than soap, water and a bottomless bucket of kindness.
