WASHINGTON, USA — Flags will be lowered to half-staff across Washington state on Wednesday to honor the memory of a Spokane County Sheriff’s Office sergeant who died on duty earlier this month.
Sgt. Kenneth Salas was struck and killed by a motorcyclist on August 9 while helping with a traffic hazard on Interstate 90. Gov. Bob Ferguson directed all state agencies to lower their Washington state and U.S. flags to half-staff on Wednesday.
