SKAGIT COUNTY, Wash. — Two people were injured after a helicopter crashed at Skagit Regional Airport Monday morning.
The Port of Skagit said the helicopter’s tail appeared to clip a pole upon takeoff. The pilot and one passenger were transported to Skagit Valley Hospital with minor injuries. The helicopter was a Robinson 44 (R44).
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has opened an investigation into the crash. Witnesses of the crash or anyone with information regarding the crash is urged to contact NTSB.
