VANCOUVER, Wash. — Thirty-foot-tall flames engulfed a house and melted one wall of a neighbor’s Friday afternoon, leaving three people and a dog displaced.
At 2:34 p.m., the Vancouver Fire Department responded after a 10-foot section of arborvitae between two houses, near 10910 Northeast 70th Circle, caught on fire. Witnesses later reported explosions, along with a house and car on fire, causing the fire department to upgrade to a full structural response.
