THURSTON COUNTY, Wash. — Fire crews remain at the scene of a large brush fire that threatened multiple homes in the area of 138th Avenue and Military Road SE near the town of Rainier on Wednesday.
A Level 3 evacuation order was issued at 4:20 p.m. Wednesday. That order was downgraded to Level 2 and Level 1 shortly before 8:50 p.m.
People are advised to avoid the area.
