SNOQUALMIE, Wash. — A family-owned quarry in Snoqualmie is facing more than $20,000 in losses after an early-morning burglary Monday that police describe as a “devastating” hit to the small business.
Two suspects broke into Mt. Si Quarry around 1:30 a.m. and spent nearly two hours on the property, according to Snoqualmie police. The suspects stole tools, fuel, and other equipment, broke into storage containers, tampered with heavy machinery, and damaged two trucks. They also attempted, but failed, to drive off in one of the vehicles.
“It’s just terrifying,” said Snoqualmie Police spokesperson Melinda Black. “We don’t want this to happen to any other businesses.
