Kent police ask community to keep an eye out for missing woman on National Night Out

Before Tuesday’s events, the Kent Police Department posted on social media, asking community members to keep an eye out for missing 35-year-old Ashley Watson.

KENT, Wash. — Kent police officers joined neighbors at more than 60 National Night Out events across the city Tuesday evening, building community trust through shared meals while asking residents to help search for a missing woman with mental disabilities.

The annual community policing initiative brought officers and residents together for potluck gatherings throughout Kent’s neighborhoods, including the Misty Meadows area in East Hill, where the focus was on strengthening relationships between law enforcement and the community they serve.
