SEATTLE — The suspect in a deadly fire in Wallingford pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and arson in the second degree at a court hearing on Monday morning.
Letian Shi is accused of setting fire to a Wallingford home in early June, killing the elderly resident, Susan Lisette Klee. Despite the defense’s request that Shi be able to leave of his own recognizance, Judge Brian M. McDonald opted to maintain the suspect’s bail at $4 million. He will remain in King County Jail.
