A 76-year-old resident of the care home was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office.
TACOMA, Wash. — An elderly man died after a fire broke out in an adult care home near Tacoma on Friday morning.
A neighbor called 911 to report that a home on the 2100 block of 90th Street in Midland was engulfed in flames at around 7:05 a.m. The neighbor reported that the smoke was coming from the back of the house. The neighbor then ran over to try and help evacuate the residents.
