The Federal Way Community Center opened up as a cooling center as temperatures are expected to be higher than 90 degrees.
FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — As temperatures climb across western Washington, Federal Way and other nearby cities have opened cooling centers to help residents escape the heat.
The cooling center is located inside the Federal Way Community Center at 876 S 333rd Street and will remain open from 5 a.m. Tuesday through 10 p.m. Wednesday. It offers air conditioning, water, bathrooms, and electrical outlets, and is open to anyone who needs relief.
