A Pierce County man was arrested for making a false 911 call about a shooting at Foothills Elementary, diverting police resources for hours.
PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. — A Pierce County man was arrested Tuesday night after authorities say he made a false 911 call reporting a shooting at Foothills Elementary School, prompting a large law enforcement response and an ongoing investigation.
According to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office, dispatchers received a 911 call just after 9 p.m. from a man claiming someone had been shot near the school.
