Trump cuts could silence beloved community radio station in Skagit Valley

Radio station KSVR has served the Skagit Valley for 52 years.

MOUNT VERNON, Wash. — For Ben Mason, music has been a lifelong passion. What started as a kid constantly wearing iPod earbuds has evolved into a 17-year career at KSVR, Skagit Valley College’s community radio station, where those earbuds have been replaced by professional headphones.

But Mason’s beloved radio station now faces an uncertain future.
