Washington’s population estimates are growing, and so are the numbers of passengers traveling through SEA Airport.
SEATAC, Wash. — Seattle’s population has officially topped 800,000 residents, according to new state estimates, underscoring rapid growth across western Washington that is now being felt in more places than just housing and traffic — like at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA).
This past weekend was among the busiest in SEA Airport history, with nearly 74,500 travelers passing through security on Sunday alone, ranking it among the top six busiest travel days on record, according to the Port of Seattle.
