Three northbound lanes restored as crews complete paving ahead of schedule.
KIRKLAND, Wash. — The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) reopened three northbound lanes on Interstate 405 Sunday, easing traffic congestion after significant backups over the weekend.
As of Sunday evening, two lanes remain closed. However, the express toll lanes are now open to all drivers free of charge.
This update follows the Saturday night reopening of the State Route 520 on-ramps to northbound I-405, restoring an important regional connection. Despite this progress, the northbound on and off-ramps at Northeast 85th Street will stay closed until Monday at 4 a.m. when work wraps
