Selena Gomez will reprise the role of Alex Russo in Season 2 of “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place.”
Gomez executive produces the series, which is a spinoff of “Wizards of Waverly Place,” the Disney Channel sitcom that ran for four seasons from 2007 to 2012 and launched Gomez’s career. “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place” premiered in October of last year, with Gomez appearing in two of the first season’s 21 episodes.
