The Seattle Fire Department has multiple crews responding to the boat dock near Westlake Avenue North on Seattle’s Lake Union.
SEATTLE — A boat dock caught fire on Seattle’s Lake Union Wednesday afternoon, prompting a two-alarm response from Seattle firefighters.
Crews initially responded to the South Lake Union area around 4:30 p.m. for reports of a moored boat on fire at Boatworld Marina.
The 40-foot vessel is in a covered marina, and the fire quickly spread to the roof of the marina. Large plumes of black smoke could be seen rising from the marina as flames ripped through the covered area.
