Los Angeles Sparks waive newly-signed guard after three days

Players on the fringe of making it in the WNBA are often waived multiple times a season, and Grace Berger is the latest such example.

Berger signed with the Los Angeles Sparks on a hardship contract on Tuesday and was subsequently waived on Friday, with Kelsey Plum returning to the lineup. She’s one of dozens of players across the league who have been temporarily signed this season due to a team dealing with multiple injuries, only to be waived when that team reached 10 active players.
