EDMONDS, Wash. — Two women died and three others were injured Tuesday night after a car fleeing police plunged into Puget Sound near the Edmonds ferry terminal. The high-speed pursuit involved multiple law enforcement agencies and ended in tragedy after the vehicle went into the water at full speed.
Among the victims was 45-year-old Porsha Sapp of Lakewood, a mother of seven adult children.
“I’m sure she thought about her kids in her last moments,” said her daughter, Avie Alberta, who lives in Lakewood with her husband.
