Seattle to spend $500,000 on safety improvements along busy West Seattle street

The Delridge Way upgrades are in response to concerns near two preschools, according to Councilman Rob Saka.

SEATTLE — The city of Seattle announced Wednesday a $500,000 plan to improve traffic safety near a pair of preschools along Delridge Way Southwest.

The upgrades come after concerns from families, staff, and residents about frequent crashes and safety risks during drop-off and pick-up times, particularly near the Refugee and Immigrant Family Center (RIFC) and the Southwest Early Learning (SWEL) Center.
