TACOMA, Wash. — A teenage boy was shot Tuesday afternoon outside Lincoln High School, prompting a lockdown and a large police response, according to the Tacoma Police Department.
Officers responded to reports of gunfire just before 2:50 p.m. A school staff member called 911 to report the shooting, Tacoma police spokesperson Sgt. John Correa said.
The boy was found around the corner from the school, in front of a nearby business. He had been shot but is expected to survive, Correa said.
