Burglars used a tow rope to smash into a Rainier Beach store, stealing cigarettes in minutes.
SEATTLE — A Rainier Beach convenience store is back open after an overnight smash-and-grab burglary. Surveillance video, provided by the store’s owner, shows two suspects using a car and a tow rope to rip the front doors off the store, making off with bags full of cigarettes — all in a matter of minutes.
“It’s devastating,” said store owner Andrew Choi. “I feel like just there’s no more American Dreams.”
