Advocates in Washington state warn Trump’s spending cuts will worsen the food crisis.

CARNATION, Wash. — Advocates for food access in Washington state are sounding the alarm over President Trump’s proposed spending bill.

They say budget cuts will add to an already growing food crisis.

At Hopelink’s Snoqualmie Valley Market, clients get to shop for the kinds of foods they need at no cost.

“We are seeing unprecedented needs across the community experiencing poverty,” said Hopelink CEO Meghan Altimore.
