After days of speculation, Aston Martin has confirmed that Lance Stroll will be back in action for his home race, the Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix.
Stroll withdrew from the Spanish Grand Prix after qualifying, with the team citing the injuries he sustained ahead of the 2023 F1 season during pre-season training. Ahead of that campaign Stroll suffered fractures and a broken toe in a cycling accident, which led to him undergoing surgery followed by a process of rehabilitation.
Stroll missed pre-season testing as a result of that accident, but returned to the grid for the season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix where he delivered an impressive sixth-place finish.
