BELLEVUE, Wash. — In tearful silence, they stood in a Bellevue park, holding candles and hoping to bring light to a family enveloped in darkness.
In cases like this, there are often no words.
15-year-old Azjanae Brooks, known simply as Nay, was killed by gun violence late last month.
At a vigil Sunday night, the Bellevue High School freshman’s vice-principal remembered her infectious spirit.
“Nay was just a force of love,” said Matt Stokes.
