Virginia Mason Franciscan Health to lay off more than 100 employees

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health said around 200 employees will be impacted by the changes, specifically those in virtual services and administrative roles.

TACOMA, Wash. — One of the area’s largest hospital systems is laying off more than 100 people.

According to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) 116 employees with Virginia Mason Franciscan Health Virtual Health Services will lose their jobs starting in July.

In a statement from Chad Melton, the Interim President of the Puget Sound Market of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, he said around 200 employees will be impacted by the changes being made.
