The airport hopes that adding these new security lanes lead to “quicker, more efficient” sceenings.
SEATAC, Wash. — A new security checkpoint opened at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport Friday morning, adding five more security lanes on the baggage claim level.
This checkpoint is on a different floor than the other security checkpoints because “space is tight upstairs,” according to SEA. However, the checkpoint also allows certain travelers some advantages that may give it an edge over the ones by the ticketing counters.
The new checkpoint 1 is an ideal option for those who aren’t checking bags, allowing them to skip the sometimes backed up departures
