Man who made bomb threat forcing Alaska Airlines flight to land in Spokane sentenced to nearly 2 years in prison

SPOKANE, Wash. — The man who made a bomb threat on a flight from Atlanta to Seattle, forcing the plane to divert its path and land at the Spokane airport in 2023, has been sentenced to nearly 2 years in federal prison. 

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Washington says 40-year-old Brandon L. Scott was sentenced to 22 months in prison and 3 years of supervision upon release. He was also ordered to pay
