SEATTLE — One of Seattle’s oldest businesses is closing up shop after 85 years.
Three generations of the Thompson family have owned and operated West Seattle Brake Service at the corner of Fauntleroy Way Southwest and 37th Avenue Southwest.
“It’s our home. We spend our entire childhood here. So it means everything,” said Seri Thompson. “You just see every story from our family history. You see stability, you see strength, you see perseverance, you see all the little things engrained in us just existing in the ether here.”
