Nearly 13 months after the child’s death, five people are now in custody.
EVERETT, Wash. — Five people have been arrested over a year after a 13-month-old child died from a drug overdose in south Everett.
Authorities in Everett responded to a call of an infant who was not breathing on April 24, 2024. The child was taken to the hospital, but eventually passed away, police say. Due to “the diffused culpability of who directly caused the child’s death,” all five adults could only be booked on suspicion of misdemeanor reckless endangerment.
