Southbound I-5 will be down to one lane from 6 a.m. to noon on Tuesday in Thurston County.
SEATTLE — Miles-long backups are expected Tuesday in Thurston County as Interstate 5 will be reduced to one lane southbound for much of the morning on both days.
The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) will have maintenance crews filling in gaps on the surface of the roadway and fixing potholes. The southbound lanes near Maytown will be reduced to one lane between 6 a.m. and noon on 20.
The work on Monday, May 19, was canceled due to weather conditions.
