SEATTLE — President Donald Trump’s proposed spending cuts to Medicaid could cost Washington state an estimated $700 million annually, according to the Washington State Hospital Association.
Legislation passed by a House committee Wednesday — and scheduled for a full floor vote by the end of next week — would make steep cuts to Medicaid, also known as Apple Health in Washington. The bill calls for billions of dollars in reductions to the program nationwide.
