Three routes will benefit from the ferry additions, just in time for summer sailing.
SEATTLE — Washington State Ferries (WSF) is adding 18 vessels to service next month, ahead of a busy summer sailing season.
The new additions bring the agency to nearly full domestic service three years earlier than expected, according to WSF.
Service restoration had previously been on hold until WSF’s new hybrid-electric ferries arrived in 2029, but Gov. Bob Ferguson directed the agency to focus on more frequent ferries.
