Protesters show up to anti-trans athlete activist Riley Gaines’ speaking event at University of Washington

The event was just one night after more than 30 students broke into an engineering building on the campus and caused $1 million in damage.

SEATTLE — For the second night in a row, protesters showed up on the University of Washington campus, this time to denounce an appearance by a well-known anti-trans athlete activist. 

The protest came on the heels of a chaotic demonstration at the Interdisciplinary Engineering Building that resulted in more than 30 arrests and caused $1 million in damage.
