Another round of WNBA training camp cuts just came through as teams prepare to play preseason games on Tuesday and Wednesday. Among the most notable was Paige Bueckers’s former teammate Christyn Williams, who graduated from UConn in 2022 and was drafted No. 14 overall to the Washington Mystics that year.
Unfortunately, Williams suffered an ACL tear in training camp, similar to what happened to Georgia Amoore a week ago. She rehabbed for a year but was eventually cut from the Mystics, eventually signing a rest-of-season contract with the Phoenix Mercury at the end of the 2023 season.
