Police seen entering UW engineering building occupied by protesters

Protesters occupy a University of Washington building to urge it to cut ties with Boeing over defense contracts.

SEATTLE — Police were seen entering a University of Washington engineering building that was occupied by protesters Monday night.

It was unclear if any arrests were made as of midnight.

The group “Super UW” said in a post online the protesters were there to support Palestine. They want the university to cut ties with Boeing because of the company’s defense contracts with the military, specifically what is being used to support Israel Defense Forces.
