The road was washed out in a December storm, and some were afraid it wouldn’t be repaired in time for summer until some lawmakers found the funds.
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Wash. — The Hoh Rainforest access road is set to reopen on Thursday ahead of the peak tourist season on the Olympic Peninsula.
Gov. Bob Ferguson announced the reopening date on Monday morning.
The Hoh Rain Forest has been closed since several feet of Upper Hoh Road were washed away by heavy rains last December.
