Seattle police officers are on scene investigating.
SEATTLE — An 83-year-old woman was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver Monday morning in Seattle.
Officers responded to a reported collision around 7:45 a.m. Monday at the intersection of 4th Avenue South and South Spokane Street. First responders found the woman in the roadway and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Upon investigation, police said the woman was walking westbound in the pedestrian crosswalk when an SUV ran her over while turning right onto South Spokane Street. Police did not release any information on the vehicle that struck the woman.
