SEATTLE — Spending on Mother’s Day gifts this year is expected to hit near-record numbers, according to the National Retail Federation.
Altogether, it’s estimated that $34.1 billion is going to be spent on the holiday this year. The breakdown shakes out to the average American spending about $260 on gifts and celebrations.
Spending any portion of that money at small businesses can be a major boost in Washington state.
