Seattle City Attorney Ann Davison warns that Trump’s new order on sanctuary cities poses a legal threat.
SEATTLE — Seattle City Attorney Ann Davison is raising concerns over a new executive order signed by President Donald Trump which targets sanctuary cities and states.
The order, signed April 28, also directs the U.S. Department of Justice to compile a list of jurisdictions that federal officials say are obstructing immigration enforcement. Cities and states on that list could face the loss of federal funding.
Davison said the order is more than a political statement — it’s a legal threat.
