SEATTLE — Valentine’s Day 2024 is expected to have a focus on spending on significant others, according to the National Retail Federation and Prosper Insights & Analytics.
The annual survey revealed that total spending on significant others for the holiday is expected to reach a record $14.2 billion and that overall, consumers plan to spend a total of $25.8 billion to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
Shifting some of those dollars from bigger brand names or out-of-state shops and online stores – could make a major impact on Washington’s local economy, according to Made in Washington (MIW).
